GYNECOLOGIC SURGERY
The right procedure in the right setting
Some gynecologic conditions require treatment in a hospital or ambulatory surgical setting. Dr. Angel Paas provides surgical evaluation and explains whether observation, medication, an office procedure, minimally invasive surgery, or another approach is most appropriate.
The recommended procedure depends on diagnosis, severity, prior treatment, anatomy, overall health, and future pregnancy goals.
Shared decision-making
Before surgery, Dr. Paas explains the purpose of the procedure, alternatives, expected benefits, significant risks, anesthesia, recovery, restrictions, and follow-up. Patients are encouraged to ask questions and involve a support person when helpful.
Minimally invasive care
When clinically appropriate, minimally invasive techniques may reduce incision size and recovery time. Not every condition or patient is suited to the same technique.
